How to Look 10 Years Younger in 10 Minutes
If you want to appear 10 years younger or more, there is no shortage of knowledge and tools available to assist you in achieving your objective. Everywhere you go these days, it seems like there is a new product or cosmetic treatment claiming to be the best way to erase lines, restore elasticity, restore brightness, or any combination of these things.
However, before you invest in that revolutionary product or attend that trendy new medical day spa, there are three anti-aging traps you should be aware of. If you fall into one of these categories, you might be sabotaging your results without even realizing it, no matter what products you are using to get them.
First, there is no passion for anti-aging or complete acceptance of the aging process (Anti-Aging Trap #1).
“Do you have a passion for anti-aging?” you inquire. “Of course, anti-aging is a subject that I am passionate about. Do you believe it’s a good idea for me to spend hundreds of dollars on items and procedures?”
For the record, enthusiasm for anti-aging and appearing 10 years younger has absolutely nothing to do with the number of anti-aging products you purchase or the number of appointments you arrange with your cosmetic surgeon. The beginning of a passion for anti-aging begins in the brain:
For example, when I get up in the morning, the first thing that comes to mind is anti-aging products. For me, being younger and more energetic means continually learning, analyzing, and putting test ideas into action. In fact, there isn’t a single day that goes by without me thinking about anti-aging and wanting to seem ten years younger than I actually am.
Now, I’m well aware that not everyone wakes up with anti-aging on their brains, or even that they can. Aside from getting the kids off to school, there are a slew of other responsibilities to attend to, such as paying payments.
However, in order to truly accomplish any level of anti-aging success, you must have a strong desire to do so.
The reason is that enthusiasm for anything, whether it’s looking ten years younger, reducing weight, or obtaining a promotion, begins in the mind. When you put your mind to anything, your brain instantly goes into overdrive, brainstorming ideas on how to bring your goal to reality as quickly as possible. This process is propelled along by a burning desire. The more enthusiastic you are about a certain concept, the more likely it is that you will attain your goals.
Unfortunately, anti-aging efforts, such as attempting to seem 10 years younger or younger more quickly, are losing steam. This is due to the fact that many individuals believe there are just a few alternatives for really remaining youthful. Once they begin to show signs of aging, they feel the only alternatives available to them are plastic surgery or Botox. This takes us to the second anti-aging trap: a lack of exercise.
Overloading on Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Procedures is a second anti-aging pitfall to avoid.
I recently met a 48-year-old lady who appeared to be addicted to cosmetic surgery. Her skin was smooth, taut, and free of lines. She had no wrinkles on her brow, around her eyes, or around her mouth, which was unusual for her. However, guess what? She did not appear to be 10 years younger. She had the appearance of a 48-year-old lady who had put in a lot of effort.
Even when she smiled, her face had a mask-like appearance. This is a style that you may see on a number of celebs (Courtney Cox, Nicole Kidman, Joan Rivers). Perhaps this is why some people believe it is the most effective method of combating the aging process. People have a strong desire to be like their favorite celebrities.
Now, I’m not anti-plastic surgery in any way. The advancements in plastic and cosmetic surgery have made it possible for people all over the world to appear and feel years younger, compared to only a decade ago. And it’s possible that this is the problem. Because it has grown so much more cheap, it is now the first line of defense rather than the final line of defense. Plastic surgery or cosmetic operations performed in excess will not make you appear ten years younger. If you get plastic surgery done, it will make you appear weird, unnatural, and like a plastic surgery addict.
Anti-Aging Pitfall #3: Lowering the Standards Too Low
When I ask women what they truly want to achieve from all of the work they put out to maintain their young appearance, the majority of them answer with the following statements:
“I’d want to seem younger than my actual age.”
The only way I can answer to this remark is with the question “Why?”
If you genuinely want to look nice for your age, no matter if you’re 30, 40, or 50+, I encourage you to take the necessary steps. If you haven’t already, you could probably reach your objective in a couple of months if you haven’t before. However, keep in mind the following:
You will never again attend a college athletic event and have four different students mistakenly believe you are a coed. You won’t be able to dress in a short skirt while still seeming “age acceptable.” (I apologize for using that phrase.) It’s something I truly detest, but that’s a topic for another essay.) You will never go for a jog and have three seventeen-year-olds on scooters approach you and inquire as to what college you go.
Why? Because “looking decent for your age” is a ridiculously low standard to begin with. Yes, you appear to be in good shape for your age. For example, “you throw fairly well for a girl” is the equivalence of “you throw very well for a girl.” You want to appear nice at all times. You want to appear so wonderful that no one can tell how old you are, and no one can remark you look well for your age since no one knows how old you are.
I know lots of ladies over the age of 40 who have been and continue to be mistaken for college students. That is, those who are still capable of pulling off a tiny and flip flops. Also, those who are being waved at by 17-year-old lads on motorbikes and scooters.
Having reviewed the three anti-aging traps and how simple it is to fall into them, let us now turn our attention to the good news. Take a look at the following quotation:
“In our opinion, anti-aging is a way of life. My wife and I made the decision a long time ago that we were not going to grow old together. We intended to eat healthfully, experiment with different foods on a regular basis, and take good care of our bodies. But, most significantly, we committed ourselves to it, and I think we’re doing well so far.” This is coming from a 52 year old guy and his 46 year old wife.
This statement came from a married couple I met lately who I estimated to be in their mid-thirties based on their appearance. The man admitted to me that he was 52 years old and that his wife was 46 years old at the time. I was completely taken aback. Being as fascinated with anti-aging as I am, I am generally able to predict the ages of individuals very accurately. As a result, I was completely taken by surprise.
This pair appeared, moved, and spoke as though they were in their 30s or early 40s. And he’s only 35 years old. It was absolutely incredible, and I couldn’t take my eyes away from them.
So, how did they manage to appear at least ten to fifteen years younger? Maybe they have some cosmetic surgery to make them seem better?
When it came to their beauty regimen and care, they were very transparent and honest. They informed me that they had had “absolutely no Botox.” In addition, there will be no plastic surgery. They both get skin peels every six months to keep their skin looking young. It is impossible for them to consume any manufactured food, and they consume a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. They workout five days a week, stretch frequently to maintain flexibility and agility, and remain up to date on the latest developments in the anti-aging business.
Everything they shared with me was intriguing, and their strategy appeared to be working for them. Nonetheless, I kept returning to their initial quote: “My wife and I made the decision that we were not going to age.”
That simple remark is one of the most important reasons why they are able to maintain their youthful appearance and vitality. They refused to accept the aging process in their minds, and once they had that affirmation firmly embedded in their minds, it put in action a lifelong strategy for against aging at every step. Once they had that confirmation firmly in place, everything else that happened after that became second nature for them.
And it is the actual secret of defying the effects of time and remaining youthful and vibrant. Believing in your ability to do anything with total confidence. So keep your enthusiasm for anti-aging alive, avoid overindulging in cosmetic and plastic surgery, and raise the bar significantly. Keep these anti-aging traps out of your life and be amazed at how quickly your body and mind respond. It’s possible that you’ll wake up in a few of months looking ten years younger.
